Kill Bill technically takes place in the same universe as Spy Kids just so you all know

how do you figure that

I will never stop reminding people that Machete is the uncle of the kids from Spy Kids.

my favorite thing in stories is when the antagonist doesn’t die, but instead they realize they were being kind of a stupid dick (maybe because the protagonist saved them or something) and then they have to kind of awkwardly tag along with the heroes in order to make up for their mistakes and gradually become slightly less evil

I'm in my father's class at my high school. He said this today:
Him: As some of you may not know, I'm a feminist.
class: *laughs*
Him: No, really, I am.
Class: *laughs again*
Him: Why is that funny?
Asshole: Because you're a man, and you shouldn't think that way.
Him: Well why not?
Asshole: I dunno that's just the way that is.
Him: I'm a feminist because of my wife. She and I have the EXACT same job. Yet, I make more than her.
Class: *laughs*
Him: Why is that funny? Shouldn't women be paid equally as men?
Same Asshole: No, they're supposed to be in the kitchen.
Him: *slams fist on asshole's desk* Why?
Asshole: Because that's how it is.
Him: Why?
Asshole: That's their job.
Him: Why?
Asshole: *can't come up with another answer*
Him: I'm a feminist because my wife has the exact same job, gets less pay, and with that, I can barely support my three children. If she got paid as much as me, life would be a bit easier for all of us.
*note, my mother is a teacher like my father*
Him: Women gave birth to us, and now, here in the state of Michigan, they can't even have their own rights? It's 2014 people! Grow up or get out of my class.
Class: *silence*
Him: Now.. Louis XVI

My mom’s friend adopted this lovely dog after he was abandoned by his previous family. His name is Shaun. Shaun had always been very good at eating all his food. Every last bit that was, he ate it. One day he started leaving a little bit behind. He wouldn’t eat everything, no matter what. He always left a little behind. Every morning when my mom’s friend checked Shaun’s bowl, the food was gone. That was very strange, because Shaun always spent the night by her side.
One night she decided to investigate the food situation. She waited quietly by the food bowl and then, in the middle of the night, a cat came through the window and ate the remaining food. She noticed the cat was actually pregnant. A week or so later the cat came into her house and gave birth to 6 little kittens. Shaun took care of them as if they were his own babies. My mom’s friend adopted the cat too (her name is Meow) and they took care of the kittens until they all found a loving home. Nowadays Meow and Shaun live happily together as a family and they each have their little bowl of food.

Here is all of Kaidan’s ‘background chatter’ from the party in the Citadel DLC.  They’re ordered from sober to drunk.  Kaidan’s was fun, almost makes a bit of a story.

Due to popular demand, I will be eventually posting the background chatter for every character.  If you’d like to, track ‘#mass effect sound’  That’s the tag I use for any audio files I post from the game.

Next up… Wrex.

oh my god kaidan’s laugh

"Who’s humbered? … I mean hammered?”  fucking lol… ahh Kaidan you precious doof.

William and Emma meet again -  Victorian Romance Emma

This is a superb Seinen manga. Not only is the artwork stunning, but the storyline is so simple, yet so well written. It takes place in late 19th century England (perhaps 1895) and is about a maid and wealthy young man who fall in love, despite difference in social classes.

It is very historically researched, the detail is perfect; characters, traits and lifestyles are reflective of the time, and all 10 volumes (the last is an extra that completes the story) are very well paced, and keeps the story moving.

This is one of the best romance mangas I have ever read, and one of the best mangas period.

If you’re sick of unrealistic mangas with immature, annoying teenagers and petty, silly conflicts not worth the time of day - this is for you. Do yourself a favor and read it, and also check out the author’s other work - A Bride’s Story. Another great, ongoing tale.
